YOLOventure Case Study

An AirBNB for extreme and thrilling adventures in the world.

YOLOventure is a school project that I came up with solving the issue for adventure seekers to easily find and book extreme adventures in the world by connecting them to verified adventure guides. For this project, I conducted market and user research, delivered wireframes, and created a working prototype demonstrating this application’s features.

01.

Plan & Research

The first task was to write a comprehensive project proposal that highlights the goals of the app, the primary users, the type of problems the app is solving for users, what users consider characteristics of a good solution, expected frequency and duration of sessions per user, and market research.

02.

User Persona

I crafted a user persona to represent my primary user group to help the developers and designers to grasp the reality of my user population.

03.

Interview

After defining the question “Who?”, I moved on to ask and answer the question “What?” What problem is this user trying to solve, or what pleasurable state does this user want to enter? What would this user consider to be the characteristics of a good solution, or of a pleasant state? So I conducted interviews with potential users who can represent my primary target group.
